The Exit

As I am, ready to testify,
In the realm of my room,
Surrounded,
By my children.

While I lay,
On my, final chapter,
Of life,
Trying my best, to exit,
With dignity.

They have come,
To say their final farewells,
Sharing a tear,
Behind my back and out of sight.

After today, I'll be but a memory,
I'll attemp to masquerade,
The Exit,
I am about to make.

The Reaper, I see,
In the corner of my life,
Honing his swing blade,
Lost in the darkness,
Of his hideous cloak.
