What a beautiful
Soft sounding word
S-e-n-i-l-i-t-y
Sounds like a serene night
Or something even nice.
But the word
Is a masquerade
Hiding a hideous
State of mind.
So suffered my Mother
The athletic ability
One thought
Of my Mother
AT eighty.
To escaped,
What she thought was prison
She would climb a fence
Or pull a knife at you
Only defending
What she thought was right.
Spending time, looking into the mirror
confusing her image
For a new found friend
leaving food near by
It's for my friend
she would say, when asked why?
Always with a smile
A gleam and a sparkle in her
Dark almost onyx
Mysterious eyes.
How beautiful she was
In her younger days
Even while rasing seven kids
I remember her
Taking me to the dentist
During the mid fifties
There was a war going on
At that time too
Soldiers everywhere
Throughout the city.
I remember
Wolf calls and whistles
And a smile upon her beautiful face
As she passed them by.
A tear still comes
To my sad
Remembering eyes
As I lay flowers
On the Place she rest.

***** After rasing seven *****
Oh William this is absolutely one fantastic and lovely Mother's Day Poem. You had me every step with you...and drat...you too have gone and made me cry...now I am crying today X4.
Hmmm maybe I should just not stop to stay prepared for the next piece I review.

Not easy to write of these memories and do it well, you have done it superbly William. A splendid tribute to your mother and the courage she had to face how age destroys our cells...beautiful message... !
This poem is not ONLY a tribute to her as your mother, but also a tribute to her womanhood, her generosity, and her humor....She must have been a pip! Loads of fun!
hugs to you....and your mom...by spirit

Boy oh boy...and I think I have it tough with 2. This is tear jerkingly beautiful. A mother is lucky to have such a son. See, this is what every mom loves...it just gives us justification for all of the reasons why we do the things we do for kids. This moment, this inspiring piece...every mother does crave. When my little guy picked me a WEED ans tells me "Ma this is for you!" You better believe I find a vase to put it in!Fantastic job. Thanking you...Teresa
Hi William,
Such a beautiful and yet
sad tribute to your mother...
So many of us are hurting at this time...
It's been 16 years since
my mother left...Yet it
seems like only yesterday.
Bless you William

Ahhh, William. This is such a lovely poem. She must have been a wise and dear woman, to raise someone as special as you. Bravo.
Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.
