~~~~*~~~~
To A Friend The Lord blest
with 82 years of life
Israel Pagan, 1921 - 2003
~~~~*~~~~

~~~~~~*~~~~~~
I had not, seen him for a spell
Heard he was hospitalized
Not feeling well
Then the tolls of the bells.
~~*~~
His name was Israel,
Israel was his name
At five feet four
A Great Father, a Grandfather
A mountain of a Man, all the same.
~~*~~
I stand before him
Reciting a silent prayer
For his soul, The Lord To keep
As He lies in state
In His final sleep
~~*~~
Completed
Was His mission in life
To spread His seed
Just look around you, At His genes
The beautiful work, He did indeed.
~~*~~
All 0f them, before Him
Are here
Paying, their final respects
As they pray
While singing heavenly hymns.
~~*~~
His Name Was Israel
Israel Was His Name
At five feet four
A Great Father, GrandFather
A Mountain of a Man, all the same.
