A warm gentle breeze
Caress
Every part of me
My feet splashing
By the surf, of a now gentle
Sea
Eyes squinting
Towards the sun rising
From the horizon's
East

Seem normal today
As I continue
Strolling, on the sand
Along my way
The lovely Ocean
Beckons me
Siren's heavenly songs
Wailing hypnotically
From distance shores.

My every thought
Deep within my mind
Gifting me
With moments of pleasure
I've seem, to have lost
In time
I've yet, not felt
Since my glorious days
Of sailing
Gliding along her side
One Sea, At a time.

She seducess me
Like A whore
She needs to suckle,
Upon me
Leaving me, high and dry
Like a flounder
Out of water
She knows my love
Is hers
As she beckons
With every seductive
Wave
Carried, by the gentle breeze
As the golden sun
Gently sizzles
Into the horizon's
West
For my destination
Is written, in the wind.

Ahhh this is so very beautiful.. The ocean calls out to me at times... it seems to have a voice and mind of its own...

William I like this a lot.. but the word: whore spoils it for me.. why is it there? The whole thing is ethereal until I get blocked by 'whore'.. so many things seduc us more than whores.. think about it! LOL

Oh, William.. I do believe this is my very favorite of yours so far.. I also love the sea but as I read, I walked along with you, gazing out, looking up, celebrating the solitude that only comes from a relationship with water.. "gifted me" <-- I love to play with words and phrases when I write.. this one of yours is that, indeed, entirely yours.. a poem with this much feeling deserves this unique phrasing.. a wonderful write! katy.
