We seem to think of angels
As blonde and blue eyes
With silvery wings,
Blinding halos
Around their heads
Here to serve
Our selfish needs
With glaring lights
Blinding, from their faces
Don't you think
We're a bit
Out of place
Yes, they are here
To guide us in life
To protect us
From moments premature
Right and wrong
To bless us with their presence
Till our end
End not meaning eternity
For, part we may
In our serene sleep
My guardian Angel
Renewed me in life
As he did thousands before me
Mending an imperfect heart
Barrowing time, for me
And you know what?
He don't even possess
A halo.

Your right our angel doesn't have to have a halo. Our angels come in different forms as doctors, nurses, teachers and friends. Great tribute to your doctor.
Great write, William. I do not want to get personal, but from that hospital, I think you had HBP surgery. I think your ribs finally have healed. I had the same in 86 at Albert Einstein Hosp.Great job, I am glad your still here!
