Remembering Her Love

I stand at a gallow's trap
A noose around my neck
The parson is next to me
Praying for my soul.

In my mind
My conscious travels searching
through unknown chambers
For a story needing to be told.

She was so beautiful
Deep blue sapphire eyes
A loving smile
Sparkles in her eyes.

Jet black hair
Making me wish
I was back, in her heavenly arms
As she made me do things
Only she dared.

She stole my heart
Captured my weak soul
And entrapped my mind
With her deviant lies.

She had
A choice of any men
As she made me
Gravel on the ground
Now and then.

Until her throat
Found it's way into my
Jealous hands
This is why, there's a trap
Under where I stand.

The last words I heard
As the executioner
Released the trap
Was, one from a friend
"Amen."
