Quiet time on Saturday... here as raindrops flow
Peace that is a rarity for me ....even though
Diana Krull belts out as if she's singing near
"Cry Me A River" as she overflows right here
It's funny how you're happy til music traps your style
Then you drift to older days...as far back as the child
The first love or loss, the broken toy and things
The ones you held very dear still animates your dreams
Then when the music drifts from childhood times to love
The sorrow wells along each note and chokes you with it's shove
"Besame' Mucho" makes silence come the more
Although the hollowness resounds
... "it's you I do adore"
All the vows come back to haunt ... start the heart to burn
It overshadows misery as my insides start to churn
Taking it's rhythm from whispers on a breeze
It flies through distant vacancies dodging all the trees
The melody vibrates with each whisper from inside
Then bids the child and old love to let the dreams subside
For past memories are always there when silence brings them out
Music fans the flames of hearts, allows a second doubt
Its good to regress melodiously , its good to welcome back
The seconds that time caressed, with peacefulness and pouts
The intimate frames of life....the portraits of our souls
The good old days that came in colors and rocked our every roll.
Saturdays and music and thinking all alone
It makes a day a cinema and welcomes memories home.
