I wrote this a while back and it's good to visit times when love died and lessons gave way to an educated heart...especially when the heart becomes stronger and love is still right there on the horizon.

The illumination of the southern star is east of Georgia tonight.
It pales the great state's vast heavens and illuminates this path to sadness.
The spark of shine from the east is no longer radiant as holes from a fleeing comet burst the fused trapped light into tiny novas of pain.
The sparks of fire rained down upon the wet marshes then continued to glow as embers in a dying heart.
The silent moans sent vibrations to the smallest creatures and in their spirit a sadness crept and all mourned the dying sparks of this infant love.
The cloak of midnight's blanket caressed the fragile light and the kiss of darkness smothered the flames and with some iota of justice ...love reposed.

I identify so well with the blend here, Susan...how nature can imprint the emotions and simulate the power and fragility of love in sky cycles. Night's fireworks in exalting blastfalling hopelessly in shards and fragments back to earth.

wonderful write ... the spirit of love streaks across the horizon leaving a trail of cherished moments to recollect on when its presence dissipates ...
this is fantastic and I love every line of it. So magical and yet still just a touch of sadness in the way the love finals flounders out with just a bare flicker.
