"Hey Sweetheart", she said from another room.

He sensed her, knew she was there....somewhere.

He thought, at least he heard her.
She hummed in a whisper..."Hey
Sugar."
... there it is again.

Up until now she was a thought, an inquisitive moment when she
settled in his mind.

Its rained for the better part of 100% today.
Its taken a day to make metal
cold through and through.
Even the bones of those working out in
the elements are affected.

He calls this change in weather a contrast.
She sees it as a womans perogative for change.

Afterall, Mother Nature is a woman.
She also has the right to allow us
the opportunity to notice her new outfits in the Fall.

A man would whine at so many changes and so many mouths to feed.

A woman would always find a way to feed her babies.

A man would make a comfortable haven for his loved ones while a woman would see that all is fed and put down for the night.

A man would grin for his mate afterwards and the woman would smile from
inside, comfortably.

Its our world and it's nature, passion and rain with a soothing and mellow
suggestion for the evening.

"What would I do?" he whispered into the night air.
"What would you do indoors
with me?" he asked of her image again.

"Hey honey"...she smiled .
He felt it as her eyes spoke silently.

It is the way of he and she.
The tease and the underlying tenderness of two good spirits trying to tingle the other's spiritual depth.

Its waiting for time.

"What pleasures you on a rainy cold day?" The words flew around corners and
exercized the empty spaces with warm currents.

Its more than the thrill of a soft pillow or the warm moistness of the flesh.
It's anticipation of an ease that is charmed with silence and the air
that comes alive in a single charge of passion.

"He heard her words. again.

She always tastes them before she spits them out.

This reminds me of the Billy Joel song "always a Woman". In this you look past the apparent and see Men and Women for what they really are and explore the glorious differences between them and the wonder
in the misunderstanding of all the joys that are lost between us in our relationships. Excellent write. Pierre.

Unusual format for you, Susan, but beautifully, masterfully penned; dynamic emotion and passion in each line; BRAVA! A keeper.

LOVE this change of pace and sytle, Susan. And the confident and relaxed POV is refreshing when poetry can get overly "tight". Acute psychological portraiture, too. Very much enjoyed. TY K xx

Susan

You bring alive again the flickering embers and sparks of love and passion on a rainy day in Georgia..

Scintillating verse..

This is one of the most thought provoking yet intensely sensuality provoking writes that you have done. It is not just about flesh on flesh to pass a cloudy day but more of capturing the differences in our genders and celebrating them when two people love each other. I love this write and think it is one of your very best. Hugs on a reainy day going out to you in appreciation for this offered gift of precious incite.

Never before did I realize how spiritual a rainy day could be. And, never did I imagine how much could get done... the right way... during the hours of rainfall. While rain falls... has always been a greattime for love to rise, but you've given it all a new meaning... one I like very much. - Bill
