This was a poem from a fan years back. He was much younger than me and I was working in the tour business back in Savannah. I forgot I had it. His name is Peter, author of this letter/poem. He deserves the credit. No! I don't know what happened to him. I think he may be in California somewhere. Now he is immortal.

It was twenty years ago today that Doctor Perrper taught the band to play.
Such a small space of time.. just a hill of beans to an Angel on high.
Where would I be had I met her then? Would she raise me up when I knelt
to be her dashing knight or would I be just another Ken?
A distant rose in a quaint city which watches the world yet cannot forget
a far distant past. Tall, long legs and blonde. Enchanted brilliant green
eyes.. the Fairy Queen from misty Irish wood and loch laughing at
me through sparkling waters and the cleansing cool rain.
This wraith more spirit than flesh teasing me for daring to even think
of taking that step!
Deep passions await, yet deeper still would Love's arrow go.
Seeing her always in her magic mirror, the calm glassy surface
of a mystic loch. Image of supreme loveliness, lost am I in
golden arms, lips of ruby soft as a gossimer wings.. yet never can
I have these things.
Lost to me is my only true love; to time and the fickle chances of fate.
Precious! Peter piped a heck of a pickled letter and I wonder if he knows that this is the heck of pickled letter that Peter piped and licked? If he is as Pan as he sounds, he may yet return to surprise you, Wendy!! :))
You can't beat a Peter for writing a love letter..oh ya..;)

A lovely letter describing perhaps one of our lovliest poets. He's was definitely taken and unfortunately doomed. Why Susan, you man eater! Just kidding. I'd love to see your reflections about this Peter, other side of the coin perhaps. Or have you already posted his poem?
