I catching up on you Susie Q and although poems were written years apart, i find a recurring theme....in one instance, you need that "elbow room" recognizing that lover who is all take...but this one is different. It's as though you can't get enough, but he has a limitation of some sort and can only give so much, but returns to give again...and you want so badly despite this impediment, that you hold back what you want to say in fear you'll lose him. So many "what if's"...wanting to be positive will be's and fewer good-byes. Really well done, Susan....
love you,
Taylor
how "giving" is time, indeed? A good question. Thanks for sharing

"If only "ifs" just could" indeed Susan. There are so many ifs running around in my head and heart. I love the way you have written this, acknowledging him -"his precious beat of time."

The possibilities of love...life does tend to sometimes place us within this dance that holds us and whirls us around within it's mystic, and yet it also graps love from the touch of our hands also and places us within those ..Ifs of love...nice work...

Oh God I know this all too well.Yet they say each part we play on the stage of life, each hat we play is one step closer towrads God's beautiful blazed, masterpiece within us..A potter must mold, sculpt, fire, sand the masterpiece to be and picture God doing that on our souls...WE NEED IT...WE NEED LIFES UPS AND DOWNS!!! I TRULY believe what we reap and sow shall be at times our greatness...A man who takes a heart, yet runs back is one confused soul and you need much more harmony because you are so creative and loving..Susan, sweet precious lady, your a beautiful lady and survivor..I wish you all the best life has...God asked me to leave the Den permanently and walk new bridges, so I shall, and so I hand you my quill as a token of my love.Your precious and always in my heart..Always remember God's molding us on His wheel and we must endure ash and death to rebirth greater and you my sweet have done that, for you are a great mantle,a beautiful picture of His glory..All my love to you, grandson, Mariah and rest of family..And may 2007 be YOUR YEAR TO SHINE!!!!
This reads ell... of a longing for time to be good, again, and to tick for that certain man and woman, only. A man sees some of this in a different light, but men know how a heart can ache for a woman loved.

You must light up Savanah nights with the kind of passion and longing that echoes from the love you describe in this poem. Thought it seems that it is not returned compleltely what is offered is accepted hungrily in hopes of more, much more.
