Poem Artwork

Is it to be a mere memory
When passion demands release
Is it an iota of lusted fate
A figment come to tease
So sad is the moment
As reality names the deed
When rusted claims the closure
As a lonely heart bleeds
Will fate claim this victory
When one spirit is refused
To let the passion cede at last
To the other heart... abused.

Codependency, they call it. I prefer independence to the passion of abuse.

Circumstance of length, width, heighth and time trap all complex matter and all it is physically capable of. Spirits are free but trapped inside matter. On time dimension and time will disappear. It is nearer than we think.

Susan,

You give one much to think about in this excellent write. Passion can abuse but passion can also love. So many fine lines can be drawn between words and where do we seperate them. We've no choice but to leave it to our individuality.

Wow! A write that so many can relate to. So much abuse throughout our land today, a memory though mere that can haunt one for a lifetime.

Abused - passion? What a contrast. Passion dressed up as lust? A guy once said to me - and it made me feel uncomfortable - that 'compared to divine love, man's love was lust'. Had me asking myself, 'do i lust my wife, and does she lust me?'
Ah, the travails of passion

Wowser Susan, this one screams at me of the devastation of a broken heart. Some suffer in silence, while others cry out for tht compassion Jeff speaks of. It hurts no matter how you look at it and you've captured every salted tear and mournful ache. This makes me think about the similarity between the end of passion and a love so huge it hurts. Mighty fine line...mighty fine poem.

Fate can wreck our wildest dreams. Alas we are mere puppets in its hands. Great poem. Victor

And not just passion, but COMpassion is so often needed, where (and when) there is none. So often, we are colder than what we perceive ourselves to be, when we shut that door of compassion, and thus we truly come to a point of being virtually inhumane and... bordering as well on being inhuman. Love and humanity are about compromise and compassion, as much as they are about lust and passion; and, without all mutually synergistic components, there always will be a glaring imbalance. You have made the point quite eloquently in this small space of a write - I applaud you. -- Jeff

Enjoyed the poem. Love, and passion flow from your pen and are welcomed through my eyes.
I remember the early broken heart
I carried about in school
Still it always as then
Finds a way to mend
Never to grow cool

love ya Susan

Your passion pours into this one as your heart pours into love,,,we give love wholeheartedly and when it is not returned we feel the pain of dejection like the cut of a knive. You can capture these writes so well for you have experienced and will experience again both the good and the bad of love Susan, and you know that to love is to live even when it ends in pain.
