By spark to flame
Their thoughts reveal
That He the Metal
She the Stone
Had cherished secretly
Alone."
In awed respect
Flickered a flame
In thoughts for capture
None to blame
For in their spirit’s
Restless flight
Their flame grew on
Brighter…Bright
The nights were tasted
Theirs to own
As daylight fades
It’s shadowed form
They stole another
Blissful eve
Because they chose
To believe.
As metal drapes
Itself to stone
In ecstasy
They’re not alone
For lovers ... friends
Eternal plight
Is live by days
To love for nights.
With purloined rhythm
Hearts beat close
They loved till dawn
As sun arose
Flint to Steel
Their Metal honed
Content once more…for days alone
YES!!! Others have mentioned the strong rhythm and it reminds me of burnished metal being hammered. Such beautiful tension here as the two are forged in body, mind and spirit... a glorious alchemy and wonderful metaphor. That amazing photograph is like eternal mirrors. Amazing depth.
