old love makes only new love better as it is aged and perfected in maturity and nature. old loves never die, they live to return in like fashion as before. and an itch always needs to be scratched. thanks for writing this.
I'm not sure if I believe in reincarnation, but do know that some folks at the age 3 are very mature souls, and some who are 75 are very immature. Reincarnation -- could be.
Regardless of which it is or isn't, this poem speaks to old souls that need to re-connect.
Susan I believe as you that we have walked many lifes in past and known many loves...and itch is a good way to describe leftover passion that was so good it refuses to quietly stay in that other time.
