Art by Bruno Paoli, one of three artists of Italy I truly admire.
Going...Gone
There he is across the room
Eyes that catch and pulse that zooms
Never caring or letting on
That a heart is clicking , going , gone
Dining here , get through, skip out
Leave here quick, a heart that shouts
Don't let on...let it go...
Keep it in and watch it flow
Get it together , don't give in
Case in point, years that's been
Down the tubes and crushed to stone
Hearts beat free , going , gone
Eyes that catch with a will that's weak
Once again the passions peak
Don't look his way and keep it down
Smiles kept back , a heart that pounds
He looks again, is it his drink
Please dear God my passions sink
What is this thing , this dream of lust
This ambiance of smiles that must
Keep on track and hide this warm
Look away and never harm
Career , the job...perhaps a wife
Keep in check but feel the knife
Don't let on and keep the faith
It'll vanish for goodness sakes
Its not him...this can't be it
Passions warn its time to sit
Up real straight and keep this smile
Give an inch , take a mile
Forward thinking change the text
Keep it flowing , none to vex
It can't be him I'm not ready
Pounding heart steady , steady
He looks my way and then I melt
Passions fire and spirits dealt
A blow this time for he's diplomatic
He thinks twice and I'm dramatic
He's so regal , straight and tall
Always gracious , on the ball
Smile to die for , warm great arms
Eyes that sparkle do no harm
Maybe I'm crazy dreaming alone
His heart is taken , going , gone.
Superb painting Belle! Amazing ... this write is nine years old? WOW! You have been very consistent in your years of artistic expression.

Giving an inch...taking a mile...love shouldn't be counting, but it does and for that it will end.
In our dreams we give and take with a fifty fifty scale, which, when we wake up go back again to be our ninety giving with the ten receiving.
So, the hearts is taken, should the love end there?
Stunning presentation - conflicting emotion - doya or don'tya - beyond "I like" - I LOVE - well done, Susan!!
