When we loose a loved one the emotions are pouring out, overwhelming us with pain. Once we cry a river, the heart will feel better. Over time we get stronger being able to make it through the day. The pain will never go away but we begin to accept that our loved one isn't coming back. They are always with us, just in a spiritual way.
~ The Heart~
Is the most important part of us
keeps everything else going
Can't survive without it
At times it feels so much joy
Then it could hurt really bad
Usually after we have been sad
We don’t want anyone to see the pain
So we hide it all inside to look sane
We all have to let our feelings out
Put them on the table and be exposed
Maybe even cry ourselves a new river
The heart has to feel the emotions
It is the only way to be free
It seemed to work for me
Don’t let grief get to you
It will pass soon after the rain
Then you won’t feel the pain
It doesn’t have to last forever
You know what you have to do?
Listen to your heart
It is so very smart
Will never turn you away
And only get stronger every day
