Trying to be nice in a mean world,
about as hard as diving for a pearl.
Using a positive attitude to achieve,
gets knocked off course in recieve.
Evil comes after a smile fixed,
in the end the sun darkens mixed.

Clouds pass over then a sun shines,
getting along with others rough grines.
Rethinking a happy position of joy,
evil moves in hell storm to destroy.
With the mind set strong on a goal plan,
up steps the devil to influence demand.

As the sun sets on the horizon end,
one has had enough of evils trend.
Moved in the direction of weak,
still not giving in to evils dark peek.
When all is said and done through,
it feels good that evil missed you.

The devil surely does entice me, mostly every day I have to say Devil, just get away from me. It works that way for me.

This poem shows how it feels when our care and love is not returned.
There are times being nice just doesn't work, but still it's better than being mean. Keep on loving unconditionally. It will make you feel better and others, too.

Love & peace, Patty

A thoughtful poem. Though we would be good, we have to reflect some of the bad that permeates our environment, and in realizing our helplessness to always be a reflection of perfection, we can tolerate more.

sometimes it doesn't pay to be nice in today's nasty, evil-filled world, but grady, if you want to know the gospel truth, i would much rather be nice; in the end, it's good that will win over evil, and i am not a bad person, really. sometimes i CAN get evil or nasty, too, but i hate it when i get mean, and i would much rather be nice to people! you are only going to tick 'em off if you be mean; and that is not my way!

great write, as always!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in tx., karen lynn. :D

to you, i would be nice; you are bigger'n me, and i wouldn't want to get on your bad side! i just may regret it...LOL
