Horse Race

Gambling is fun but we shouldn't let it get out of hand. This isn't about me personally but friends I know. I don't bet on the horses.

Number in hand,
hoping horse can.
Made big bet,
some regret.
Horse has to win,
face might grin.


Horse lost race,
frown on face.
Empty pockets,
mind rockets.
Pockets now poor,
horse didn't score.


Back next week,
no win streak.
Boomerang hit,
still want quit.
Gambling habit,
stop silly rabbit.

The habit of gambling runs in the blood of a few within my family and it's not a pretty sight at all. Great capture.
