The bare necessessities, food, water, and air, has got to be there. Without these, nothing else would please. Shelter wouldn't even count, in no size or amount.
For some needs we have to scrape, so it's best to stay in shape. If we can't pay, we better know how too pray. Some people are so greedy, they'd take from the needy.
Some fool would be hogging the air, trying to say there isn't enough to spare. They'd make us barter, even to get water. We don't work, sit lazy on a seat, we don't eat.
I have heard said "the truth is out there," but it seems to be right here in your words too, Grady. We need very little, actually, though our wants are often great. Nice poem, thanks for sharing your vision with us.
