From the head to the toe, sometimes we better know. Problem is, sometimes we don't, and the body and mind won't.
The body speaks, from the pain that peaks. The brain rests in comfort, guided by the body effort. When the body flirts, the brain hurts. When the brain flirts, the body hurts.
The two have to agree, or life is as mixed as the words you see. I don't mean to mix these words, but this life kiss the birds. Amoung all things, gave them wings. My body is insane, blunders that affects the brain? Age has taken its toll, on a body that is sold.
My brain can't afford, this body that is bored. This body that the brain can't afford, after all the years still try to reach accord. One goes one way, the other tries its say, maybe together they'll get one day.
Until death do us part, a body and brain ran by a soul and heart, broken from the start. Brain was disconnected, from a body uncorrected. Nothing starts out in purity, it gains power through maturity.
On the way to maturing, life was very unassuring, neither brain nor body knew what they were during. After many moons, the body learns about prunes. Stays away from the fruit, watches the kicking boot.
The boot has turned, the body and brain have learned, they know who is really concerned. But the parents are gone, we are all alone. Alone in a world of twist, where love hardly exist.
From the head, the world flashes red. Should we charge, or are we paying a charge. A fee too large. But the price must be paid, no more do I drink kool-aid. The drinks have changed, this life has rearranged.
From the body, a body that's nobody, trying to be somebody. In the grand scheme, I watch the moon beam. The stars seem out of reach, but up there's a God who will teach.
Can I learn anymore, other than the pain that is sore? This pain teaches, the preacher preaches. At this age I'm suppose to be mature, the little boy in me still isn't sure. The man inside, knows about the pride, tries to enjoy the ride. It's no doubt, the little boy knows his route. We're all one, together or none.
Slaves who fled their masters were classified as insane. This term came from Dr. Samuel Cartwright who was an apologist for slavery in the pre-Civil War era. This release of my Anoka Time file is a look at slavery in the modern context of Minnesota N

I can relate to this, Grady. Thank you for sharing. Love and peace to you,
