Sometimes it's hard being at the top of the food chain. But it's better than looking from the bottom.

I'm an eating junkie,
Don't need no special fame or glory,
this is just part of my life story.
All I want to do is eat,
pass the chicken, fish and red meat.
Dwelling at the top of the food chain,
view from the top,
it is so hard to abstain.

Some days I withdraw,
get real hungry have to work jaw.
I resist as long as I can stand it,
then my greed pushes to demand it.
I try to ignore the demand,
right in the fast food joint I stand.

I try to be dignified,
but I usually eat until I'm satisfied.
Afterwards I get on the scale,
eating will put me in heaven or hell.
Hopefully it will be heaven,
then I can pig out until seven-eleven.

G

Yes, we all now know that you like to eat. Welcome to the club. If you're like me, you love the stuff you shouldn't eat most. Pass the mashed potatos please.

Good wwrite.

Well written poem! I think I,m feeling what it is saying. I have had to struggle with eating healthy for years. With God's help I have kept off 84lbs one day at a time. I still binge sometimes. It will not keep me from heaven, not accepting christ will. Love, Betty Torain
