Taking a Love

Never thought I'd get married, but now In am. I use to try and say my wife trapped me. In away she did but I was just as guilty. I was married to my wife even before I met her. She was a love vision in my head and in may heart. In my poem I tried to face up to this.

Taking a love,
or maybe a love took you.
Love in the head is a vision,
an inner heart and soul admission.
Until it shows up in the flesh,
either entices or makes a mess.

When love is none,
most search until they find one.
In comes Mr or Mrs right,
fulfilling the vision in sight.
One hello,
we may turn to jello.

Most try too say,
a love came their way.
Like they were innocent of all,
when the love came to call.
The other person made the approach,
forgetting their silent coach.

Woman dressed to trap,
wakes man from nap.
Man fits love vision nice,
unthaws frozen ice.
Friendship blooms,
romance zooms.

Man goes on the prowl,
woman hears his howl.
Mans first admission,
woman fits his love vision.
Woman falls for his rap,
man closes trap.

Love is a two way street,
not a oneway meet.
No ones guilty completely,
or all innocent discreetly.
Most admit their heart,
others try to deny their part.

This is a cute one! Just don't forget that love can be a sweet flower, blooming on and on into a wonderful garden. :-)

You nailed this one, Grady. It takes most people who get divorced a long time to admit that they had any part in the failure of the marriage. I know this from experience, and am now ashamed of it.

Amen! It is a two way street but far too many make it one way and that's where the stubborn pride enters in to ruin things.
Excellence Grady!

I was married to my wife even before I met her. She was a love vision in my head and in my heart.

Amazing how that works sometimes, Grady.
