who really knows?

who really knows,
if the next day the wind blows?
all i know is that i care,
hope that wind will
be around for breathing air.
i care about me,
and other people i see.

i pray too God whom i've never met,
for this i have no regret.
i pray for me,
and other people i see.
i pray for this earth,
which i had no choice of birth.

i pray that i will be able to live,
love and forgive,
even though i'm being hated,
sometimes lowly degraded.
i know that i love fun,
as opposed to having none.

i know i want to laugh and smile,
at times play like a child.
all these things i know,
each day i get up and go.
but we can never know enough,
to totally overcome
this life so rough.
