getting on or off, hope to land soft. take off like a rocket, got too much on the docket, or hardly nothing at all, either God or the devil come to call.
hopefully it's the holy man, to help with a good or bad plan. so we plan good, but termites eat wood. Metal turns to rust, sooner or later we bite the dust.
get off to straighten, got to watch the fools hating. even the love ones dictating. very few will agree, unless they're handed the key. keeping the upper hand, glass will break, but not if it's sand.

This poem brought back the rides on the bus to school when the driver would yell at us kids fooling around "alright, get on or off the bus!" This title is a great play on words, too. "Get it on." "Get off." Interesting approach. You have great management of imagery and tone. I like the part about wood and metal. All turns to dust in the end, no?

It's time to get back on, okay Grady? P.S. Grady's not that bad of a name. I called my one boy Enoch. You can look that one up in the bible, or the dictionary. It means Walk with God.

sounds like the times in many of our lives. everything seems to start off quickly then get lost along the path. Any one could walk a mile in my shoes yet wouldn't feel my struggle. Lady J
