If anyone had it any different, count yourself lucky. It's been like this for quite awhile for me. This week was pretty bad.
I hope someone else can tell, it seems we're tempted 24-7 to hell. And it seems the devil doesn't want us to heal. The more we pray, the harder our day, it seems we always have to pay.
Paying on the morning drive, by the grace of God we barely arrive. Paying at lunch time, almost become a victim of crime. Paying at dinner time eating, the boss almost fires us in the meeting.
Try to keep it right, the neighbor next door wants to fight. Finally get to sleep at night, the nightmares come to fright. Wake up trying to recoup from all the action, we still don't get no satisfaction.
Then everything starts again the next day, even after we get on our knees and pray.
i do not believe life has to be like that but i sure have felt that way at times--a good write though that so many will relate to--hang in and press on
Do battle, my friend. A physician once told me (when my Women at War) book was published, "You know, you do combat every day with that back problem of yours." Keep the faith. Moving poem. R
A very touching and realistic write my friend...I recall the words of my first pastor, he was a wise man. He always taught us that the more we pray...the harder the enemy will try to attack, for if we are not praying the enemy already has us where he wants us and we post no threat to him. He would always conclude that if the devil is on your heels...you must be living right! So my friend, keep on pressing on and living as you do, finally the enemy will take a backseat and move on to someone else. Be steadfast and unmovable....a very powerful write!

All that you have presented in the poem could be reality for a many individuals, however your assimilation of words, rhyme and rhythm puts it all in perspective. However, the topics are a big pill to swallow and often times true. Do hope this didn't happen to you this week though, smile.
