The man I am now, knows the boy I use to be. But we're in the same boat, sink, swim or float.
Many do and many don't, some will and some won't. One bad slip, can send one on a trip, Even without a ship. Two bad trips, maybe the end of all slips. Don't want to mention number three, yes that was me.
I almost slipped right into hell, the devil knows me well. At first I didn't know, I was a rookie actor in the show. After watching all the veterans perform, I still got caught in the storm, then came the harm.
Now here I sit, still hardly don't know the pit. But the pit knows me, seems I'll never totally break free. I survived to really understand my pain, everyday I face the falling rain. I truly know how I can lose, as well as how I can gain.

Don't we all feel that way sometimes. This was woven together into a great flow of words.
