Inseparable should be
a poet and his pen
the hell with the stupid
idiots in the den
And everywhere else
idiots are
even on Mars the
fartherest star
As I explore this universe
I leave behind my verse
My verse gets lonely
left behind only
Not to my surprise
not even other eyes
Nothings never new
not even no review
Only expressed words
wrote on a page
but I am free to
leave the cage Words can't walk
but they can talk
Some of them
even stalk
They can become host
even others ghost
Such naked honesty and guts! Wow - you really did a good blast.
This poem is free verse and that's what writers should be: free.
Write for what you feel and never let reviews/"preachings" restrict, predict, dictate, or taunt you and your pen.
Also, you may write free verse but I hope we also get paid for these soon!
I feel the same way about reviews as you do. People keep hitting my poems, and I'd much rather have them read my STORIES. I'm a STORYTELLER, NOT a blasted POET! My poetry SUCKS!! I wish people'd get that through their heads! In any event, keep on writing; we need you here, Gem! I know I do!!

A poem got left behind on a small planet.
The lost poem spoke to an alien creature.
The alien creature was startled, amazed, aghast.
The alien creature got "that look" in his eyes.
The alien creature screamed "Look what I've found here!"
All the alien creatures came to look.
All the alien creatures were amazed, aghast, and very afraid.
The alien creatures bowed down to the lost poem ... and prayed.
The lost poem had become GOD
Gem, I guess I'm one of the stupid idiots who wonders where
you're going with this. Maybe to Jupiter and Mars. No matter,
just be sure to come back to the Den. -gene.
Regardless: no reviews or many. You are being read. Especially by me. Don't always get to comment, but I try. =] A poet and his pen, inseperable, is the way it ought to be, connected at the Muse. =]
Inspirational poetry, written from the heart and soul. Verses that are well-suited for reading on a rainy day and that are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.
