After air, we must simply care, cause life isn't fair.
No phone rings
love birds never sings
The hornet stings
Nightmares of something
day dreams of nothing
Ducks need to be lined
where's the gold to be mined
No car to be shined
Inside a head things are
imperfectly lined
Walking to no open door
there's a bed without a floor
Food, shelter and water
a very good starter
but nothing counts if there
is no air
Very little counts if
one doesn't care
A young man sits with
a blank stare
knowing he is headed nowhere
