I guess what Murphy saw
became part of his law
He saw tragedy before it came
Some might even try to blame
of course it would be a
dog gone shame
to tag fault to his name
But many do play the blame game

Murphy saw us get sick
before the magician performed his trick
He even saw us walking
before computers started talking
Back some years it would have been
your horse
Cars weren't around then to make a choice
Even today we can still hear Murphy's voice

"Anything that can go wrong
will go wrong"
As much as we try to ignore
Murphy's ghost knocks on the door
At night he walks the floor
until our own feet become sore
Some get terribly frustrated and
can no longer take anymore
