A good toy
Gives us much joy
I collect little toy cars
Helps me cover up some of my adult scars
As I collect and think
My mind forgets the times I almost sank
When I use to drank
When I was a real little boy
I never knew the value of a good toy
I was to busy trying to be a man
Messing up and almost ending up in the can
I was in this toys r us
When I heard this big fuss
This one man screamed out
"I don't play with toys " was his shout
I stepped right up with no shame
Told him toys were apart of my adult game
My nephew accused me of being a big kid
His gesture didn't make me mad
He still smokes pot
And drinks alcohol a lot
Almost ends up in jail
I told his young simple tail
If he was lucky enough to live as long as I
And not be a drunk, dope head or anything else negative I now defy
He would be a lucky soul
So if the little boy in me likes collecting so called toys
Like real little boys
Then so be it
If you're to grown to acknowledge the little boy in you
Then you maybe to young to acknowledge the man too
A good balance
Give us a better survival chance
Learn to play
Your own way
Forget what others say
I'm off today
Going to the toy store to play
May Lu a.k.a. Sandie Angel :o)

I still have my Strawberry Shortcake things and my Champ Sprite.... and my Fisher Price Happy Apple from when I was a baby..... ha ha! if we didn't collect them... what else would we do with them...reason they are so important is because our memories lie there... makes them priceless.
