Philosophies, there are as many of these as there are people in the world. Everyone got one, and this is their God given right! Anikkkk! Maybe.

Philosophies,
there are as many as personal trophies.
You got yours,
and I got mine,
and standing up for it takes a strong spine.

In youth,
were're still growing a tooth.
A philosophy made then,
may have to be rethought again.

In adulthood,
the philosophy should be better understood.
Maybe revamped,
and then finally stamped.

The end result,
should not be an insult,
to the adult.

I don't wish for everyone to agree with mine,
if you don't like it, just let me down kind.
Or use the boot,
then we'll begin the big shoot.
Your choice,
your chosen voice.

Just watch out for the Roman chariot,
maybe rolling over your pariot.
In a nice away as possible,
some rubbing together is just impossible.

As far as philosophies goes,
if you're not a druggie, an alcoholic, pimp, a criminal etc. and you respect others God given space.
And you live in somewhat good grace,
in this crazy place,
then don't worry about others opinions,
don't let them treat you like onions.

Stand up for your ideas,
Forget the weak minded fears.

I don't drink, use drugs, I'm not a criminal, I furthered my e-d-u-m-a-c-a-t-i-o-n, I respect others, I take care of myself, in other words, I have a job.

I'm not part of the problem!

So if you don't like me or my philosophy.
I like me, and thats what counts when you're trying for the trophy.
Win or lose,
I want hit the boss or the booze.

I was trying to help a friend with her hoodlum sons. Now how much sense does this make? Father and mother are police officers, both of the sons are hoodlums, one of them is into the drugs big time. Anyway, the youngest one, which is past twenty keeps hanging out with the wrong crowd. His hoodlum cousins and friends. The mother keeps trying to save the baby boy, but the baby boy isn't doing anything to save himself. The mother almost lost her job because her own police peers raided her house because of her hoodlum sons. She's given them more chances than they deserve. I told her to put the baby boy out, she then attacked me and my philosophy. Tried to tell me, "that's the way you see it." I told her maybe so, but if any of her hoodlum sons was doing as good as me she'd probably get on her knees and thank the Lord. Not bragging but just making a point, I furthered my education, keep a job, stay out of trouble, and then wrote a book about staying out of trouble, do I need to say anymore? Don't come to me with your problems, then get angry at me when I give you my solutions or philosophies.

Philosophies,
can be better than trophies.

G

Grady,
You should be commended for trying to help young persons cope with the adversity in life today. I was fortunate enough to have my family and the love and support of a very dear friend (my dear adopted Nana, in life now) to see me through my teenage years and I survived them okay.
Great inspirational piece.
Take care,
With Love,
Jill :)

Grady..you have a gentle
soul to try to help this
lady. I'm sorry she didn't
listen. Luckily, and thank
God, my children never got
into drugs, drinking, or
hanging with the wrong crowd.
Great write, my friend.

~~Linda~~
