Facing the truth hurts.
But it can be the best remedy,
if you want your life to be in harmony.
I would say,
leave this decision to the individual,
he's the one more familiar with his own schedule.
He or she might want to delay,
facing their honesty today,
so they might continue to run away,
it may be more comfortable this way.
The blame game isn't the best game,
but it does help protect just the same.

I always tell my wife,
"you live in a fantasy land,
face up to your lifes demand."
But is it my demand that she make a truth stand?
My wife is 50 plus,
I've heard this saying,
"you can't teach an old wife new tricks."
This quote fits my wifes attitude to the tee,
because she constantly ignores me.

I faced up to my truth years ago,
and I wish now that I really didn't know.
It still takes courage to look in the mirror,
and face parts of you that are inferior.
But the truth is,
no ones perfect, are you?

I would say,
"don't let others force you to face up,
even though it maybe the best make up."
Do it on your own time,
ring your own chime.

Sometimes I wish I could go back,
and forget my truth pack.
But facing up actually helped my maturity,
then helped me deal with my lifes obscurity.
Now I'm free to explore,
knowing I won't get caught off guard anymore.
You can better protect,
when you are familiar with all that's incorrect.

Finally facing my strengths and weaknesses,
helped fine tune my totality of completeness.
There's no doubt at all,
were're one,
weak, strong or fall,
shake, rattle, roll or crawl,
negative, positive, or in Heaven,
or hanging with the devil in his haven.
But my good side is my best side,
were I truly do reside.

The truth hurts,
no doubt about it.
So you might want
to re-route it,
Until you're strong
enough to face it.
It might not be smart,
to force it.
?
G

The truth is, I don't give a dam whether it's verse, prose, poem, or a letter from Jesus Christ. I wrote it and expressed it this way. It's what I wanted to do! Sincerely G

Truthful, bold and direct. This wouldn't read any different if it were written in paragraphs would it? It might then be a prose poem, but it is not verse. And yes, I believe your good side is your best side. :)
