Lifes biggest gameboard is the brain,
games it plays can cause a total drain.
Don't feel bad if you're loosing,
it may not be to your own choosing.
This game of life takes a master,
before this is accomplished we could be plaster.
Some never win.
they just hang in.
That's me,
at age 54 I'm still not a master playee.
You'll know a master if you see one,
he'll be able to dodge bullets from a gun.
Jesus came close than many,
other than this I haven't seen any.
The smarthest person I've ever seen,
was in a night time dream.
I never saw his face,
before I woke up with no trace.
The next night the gameboard was popping,
all the little and big dream monsters were hopping.
I woke up shaking in fear,
then went and got my 38 which was near.
I kept repeating constantly,
it was a dream only.
Still not convinced of a nightmare,
I made sure my 30-30 was there.
Ever seen something real nasty in appeal,
then when you get ready to eat the brain flashes it at your meal.
Man, I really hate grusome road kill.
For years I wouldn't eat a lot of meat,
because I saw so much of it mashed in the street.
Now I'm worst than the vultures,
I eat more meat than the flying creatures.
Sometimes the mind will tell you things are nasty,
even when you know they're tasty.
As a kid,
it use to go to my head.
As a mature adult,
pictures no longer insult.
Everything in this world that taste good,
has the appearence of nasty food.
It's all a brain thing,
until one over rules as king.
The mind will run us,
if we don't take over the bus.
I got tired of being my own fool,
so I took my brain to school.

Hubby was out to work already and he called back to me just now and let me know that when he bought a coffee at the Tim Hortons, one bag lady came and poured his entire cup of coffee into her own mug; so hubby just bought another one. Later he found this same bag lady wandering in the street looking into all the garbage bins, and found a pair of shoes that are too small for her feet, but she wore it with her heels hanging out.
I think this is so bad, I was feeling so sad for this bag lady. Somebody should give her some money...
Sorry Grady, your poem reflecting the game of life had given me a reason to report this this morning. Some played life's game and lost, but we still should all be kind to the losers.
