Overall Tuxedo
from church to fields
he never changed his mind
or the way he feels
off to work before dawn
in bed by sundown
sweet dreams
for the live stock
all watered and fed
when it came to jokes
very few if any
just a smile instead
now that old straw hat
saved the day
in the hot sun for many
his old truck rusty and worn
rolling into market with crops adorned
he would barter or coin
your choice
that was his way
a new day everyday
making friends

never failed too amend
You have portrayed the quintessential country hick. The origin of the term, "redneck." Resulting from spending long days on the tractor with the sun on the back of his neck. Probably why youngsters today turn their baseball caps around so that the bill covers the neck and they don't have a redneck anymore.
