So as you died
you said you were
disappointed in me..
I knew your mind
was being poisoned ..
Little by little
Day by day.
By those who always
wanted to keep us at bay..
I am not blind
I could see.
I wanted to pick up that phone
tell you I loved you every single day..
I wanted to run to your side and
Fight for my rights
Fight for my share
Fight for my love.
But I knew it wasn't there..
Besides to fight your family
was not the right the way..
I thought I had proved my love
enough throughout the years..
but in the end nothing mattered ..
you died as I had feared..
I knew you were leaving me again..
This time forever..
But it was not my fault alone
that we were not together..
Yes, I hid away afraid..
not knowing what to say.
But why would that surprise you..
Father and daughter
...........it was always our way.
ERICA
Sorry Pops.. I really did try.
