Part of me
has let you go.
I cannot fix what is incomplete.
You cannot be rational.
You never learned to deal with pain
You cry without the tears..
You never learned to be a friend
You hide behind your wall of fear.
Tainted thoughts..
between your lies..
Always awake but never alive..
You had a friend in me..
To share your bad dreams..
But you have no courage..
Your lies and secrets
Keep you safe in your cocoon.
I know you have your home built cage..
But one day you will have to make room.
Don't deny what you know..
Fire burns inside your soul..
Don't deny your frozen heart
Dreams are dreams..
until you tear them apart..
Just rest now..
Soon you will see the day
Then you will wonder
why you turned away...
The person who only wanted to help you..
Through those dark lonely days.
Until you pushed her
and you pushed her..
until she flew away.
You still have a friend...

Erica, this is an insigtful poem. You can see clearly the other persons problems. And you know that someday they will learn and return to you. How perceptive you are about others problems. Keep striving ... you are gainimg insight in leaps and bounds.
