I wrote this a while ago.. but changed a few words.. Thanks to all as always!!

Poem Artwork

Poetry..
Words..
Writing..
My escape
my way to validate..
all that I feel..
all that is unjust..
all that I went through
all that made me what I am..
My Poetic Diary..
Witnessing the days..
the months ..
the years..
That I was
deserted
abandoned.
imprisoned
Just waiting for my turn.
To tell my side.
There was no one
there to listen..
But you my friend..
Always there from the time
I learned to write..
You allowed me to complain..
to scream of all my pain
through this pen..
To figure out what went wrong..
To let tears fall on
these pages I depend..
These pages have kept my secrets ..
They never judge..
this empty paper is my love..
It beckons me..
when I feel low..
Come here my friend
tell me all your woes..
I will never let you down..
Never let your secrets go..
I will take your words
that you feel..
I will let them fill my pages..
Of pain..
of life..
of love..
of hope..
of rage..
I will absorb your tears ..
in every page
I am your friend..
Forever I have been...
your sanity and salvation..
This simple piece
of paper and pen.

Great choice of words. This is a fine poem, and I love the ones that tumble down the page like this. Thoughtful in the way you approached the theme.
