Just thoughts... My father.. Died September 21, 2002

I packed away your pictures.. Even the painting of you.. The one that hung over my desk for years.. It left an empty faded spot on the wall.. It doesn't really matter How much I pack away. Doesn't matter As I sit and look at that empty space.. Through the faded wall.. My minds eye can still see the outline of your face.. I can't seem to pack that away.. It is programmed Into my subconscious mind.. You are seared.. Forever apart of my memories.. You played me like a fiddle.. Like a cheap guitar.. And I let you.. Because I wanted you.. Wanted to trust you.. Wanted to know you.. As much as I loved you.. God.. You can be such an ass! I tolerated.. Your selfishness.. Your pettiness.. Stubbornness Craziness I tolerated and tolerated.. In return you left me... Not once Not twice But three times.. Dropped me like a bad habit.. Now all I have is a faded empty spot on the wall.. A face in my memory.. Worst of all.. Another empty spot.. In my heart.. Where you use to be.

Those who are supposed to love us are often the ones who hurt us most and those hurts seem to last the longest. Have heart, my friend, this too shall pass. And as always you will be stronger for it. Well written, very emotional and telling.

the thing about memories is that as long as you can recall them , you can also forget them.Not easy to do, but it can be done;-)
