Just an observation.. sometimes I feel like a picture.. nothing more

Poem Artwork

Why do you turn away..
Every time you get uncomfortable..
With what I have to say..
I tried sharing with you parts of me..
Showing trust..
In hopes you could see..
Past your own fear..
Show me who you are..
The REAL you on the inside..
The one with scars
Imperfections..
The man
The child..
Tell me your secrets..
They are safe with me
I swear..
But WE are like the blind..
Trying to give light..
Not knowing how to find it..
But wanting to illuminate our dark life..
I am afraid of what you know of me..
Afraid of what you think.
Afraid of what you see..
Do you only see the outside..
The inside?
Are you one dimensional?
Is your vision flat..
There are many in this world
who have this
I n a b i l i t y
to see..
Snap a shot..
Am I a photograph..
No deeper than a picture on paper ..
Nothing inside..
Rip the picture in half ..
I will not bleed.
Now I have wonder..
Is that how you see me?
Never going deeper..
Than face value?
And I don't know how to tell you..
I don't know
if I dare..
You are not one dimensional in my eyes..
You are a spirit..
A wise soul..
You are a fighter..
Lost in many ways..
Not quite knowing what direction to go..
I hope you find your way someday..
To see in vibrant three dimensional light..
The feelings..
The color..
The love..
Your life could start  anew..
When you only see what is skin deep..
The only one to lose..
 is you.

You have the poets soul, unlike a lot of us here on AD. We who try but fall short can look to you for the path to soulful poetry. This is . . . good . . . articulate . . . introspective . . . deep . . . good.

lol...you have the gift of insight, poet. unfortunately, as you say, too many others do not. the goal then, is to find those that do, and god save the rest. because we certainly cannot. thoughtful work, poet.

Reflection can be a beautiful thing. Through your reflection here I see in you, through your own words:

"You are a spirit..
A wise soul..
You are fighter.."

And I will add a lover of life.

Wonderful write.

nOT Llike a picture Erica, your poem definitely isn't like a picture. it has thickness and form. If I tore it the world would bleed out. Read, enjoyed and moved. I try real hard not to be flat on people. hugs G

"One Demential" is depicting emotions and asking for answers within, and responding through the flow of its story of collision of souls.

A true poem written with words of emotions.

Happy Day, Poet!
