Some cultures are the main cause of social problems
Suubban crossed her love boundries
She fell in love with a classmate
She was from a Tribe callled Midgan
People despise and look them down
They consider them as low births
A rival girl tracked down Suubban
She was soon branded a criminal
not by offending anybody
not by killing or looting
not anything else we know of
but by virtue of her tribe
Terrible.
We are People of the same blood
Yet our bloods can not mix in marriage
So primnitive and so backward we are
Only through education can we be saved
Come and swim in the oasis of knowledge
Keep not drinking from the fountain of ignorance.
Education has a lot to answer for - good and bad. It is often hailed as a "god" - but a false one that both liberates and imprisons. There is acquired knowledge, but I go with the Bible that says "choose wisdom" - and that is a different thing altogether! Sometimes I would rather go with "ignorance" than to have my eyes opened to a knowledge that blinds. Passionate and indignation-raising write, Abdi-Noor.
