With only few weeks of joining the political stream of the region, wrangles started in the newly-elected Somali parliament. The question of Do we need Peace-Keepers? is being discussed seriously in the house and divisions are already coming to the surface. Too bad. They seem to have no feeling for the starving Somali child in the settlements of displaced people or in refugee camps of neighboring countries.
In the fathomless pits of misery
Faces of fear are forcing a smile
Somalia is being re-discovered
It has a President and a Parliament
But winds of anarchy are taking turns
They want to put off the flame of hope
They have no eyes to see peace
They have no eyes to see beauty.
They have no heart to touch love
They live just for the sake of living
Dear Abdi-Noor, it is so sad that what is displaced is imitated. When will they learn? When will we all learn. Peace and blessings my brother, continue to be the wind of reason. I keep you in my prayers.
I sense your frustration Abdi Noor! Sometimes it seems
there is nowhere to turn. Of course that's when Creator
is there, but it isn't always easy to see him through the
fog of ignorance and pride, that leaders are prone to
spread around. I'm keeping it all in prayer !
