There are many ways to die
Some lie on their death-bed
With children and relatives
Looking upon them helplessly
Holding back tears
Reading verses
Saying prayers

But which way do I pass away?
I have my own fears from dying
Not from the death itself
But the way I should die
I live in a war-torn country
People die for no good reason
Some are shot at close range
Others are hit by stray bullets
Some die in terrible explosions
others die from a sudden shock
My plan is not to die this way
But I have no option
Do I?

This is painful to read as it expresses the harsh reality of your country. I wish you love, peace, and strength, Abdi-Noor. Regis

Dear Brother, my heart weeps and my soul cries out for you and all who live in fear. I will not trivialize it by saying I understand because only those who live it can truly understand it. It is a testament to your strenght and spirit that in the midst of such chaos you an pen such wonderful words that so often hold hope and joy. I will keep you in my prayers. May you death be far away from this time and in the peace of your own room with many children and grandchildren's children at your side.

Dearest Brother Abdi-noor, so many here in this country lament over trivial situations that I am ashamed to hear them. For you it is an honor for me to say "Namaska" The God in me salutes/honors the God in you and I pray that you and yours will be safely kept. It is through working for peace that it is achieved. Hope alone is meaningless, let us all continue to work for our planet and each other. Love Mikii

Abdi-noor,

Dear (((Brother))), my heart weeps for you, I'm sorry you live in terror every single day. I think you do have an option: continue speaking out for peace, and maybe, maybe someone will get tired of living like this and do something to change the system. You are a brave man, dear Abdi-noor, and this is a heartfelt, courageous write. BRAVO and well done!

((((HUGS)))), love and continued prayers for you and your family, Karla. :)

I cannot imagine the fear that must be carried with each person on a daily basis in your country and many other countries, Abdi-Noor. How difficult it must be to try and have a normal day and breathe in the beauty of life. It is true that we have no choice in death, but we all pray that it will be painless and swift and that we shall have left behind a legacy that makes the time we have spent here fruitfull to those who follow us.
Take care,
Sherry

Abdi Noor it is a sad situation. I grieve for you and your countrymen who would love only peace. Yet, there is a place in Southern California, in Los Angeles, where they have gangs in such numbers they cannot be controlled, and there is what they call :drive by shootings" every day. Many children and innocent people are killed this way, every single day!I have to wonder, aren't they as bad off as the places like Somalia, or any other place where radical elements terrorize the innocent people. We never call gang members terrorists, but I think it's time we did.

I just saw a program about it and it is horrible they way they have to live right in the same area where the worlds greatst hollywood stars are. What a disgrace to our sensibilities that is! What a shame this takes place in our supposedly peaceful country. Americans should wake up to the truth. I still keep you in prayer!

Love ,
Eileen
