How soon is SOON?
To some people
SOON is few minutes
To others
SOON is few days
Still to some others
SOON can be a week or so
But how soon is SOON?
Does SOON have a limit?
Does it have an extension?
Can it be stretched?
In the science of spoken language
SOON falls with a ranage of Relativity
It can be measured in some unique ways
Its is determined by the subject in question.
A philosophical question, Abdi-Noor? Sooner than what? Sooner than when? Thought-provoking. Thank you for sharing this offering. Love and peace to you.
Soon is shorter than "at some point" and longer than "immediately". Of course, as you point out these are all relative terms and subject to speculation. To say I hope someone gets over a cold soon, would probably logically mean in a week or so, but if I were to say I needed to get to the bathroom soon, that would mean within the next 5 to 10 minutes. Language, particularly english, can be tricky this way.
