I am an African teenager
My culture denies me many rights
To associate with girls is a taboo
To confess love is a sign of weakness
I am in love with a girl
But I am hiding it from her
A cough can be repressed
But can't be swallowed
It must find its way out
Though I have my heart frozen
There will be time when I show courage
And that will be a golden moment
