Somalia has become a nation of contracts. Everything is being negotiated on business terms no matter what negative consequences would this have on the nation and its people. Our resources are being ferried on daily basis including people who are transported en-mass to unknown destinations. And while on their way hundreds would drown in the sea in a dramatic boat tragedy while other hundreds die in the heat of the desert in their effort to reach Libya and then venture into the sea to reach Italy. Human trafficking is quite rampant in this war-torn country which hasn’t had any functional government over the 15 years. In a nutshell we export every thing of some value and import narcotics and bombs to kill each other. doesn’t the world see this mess?
I told you to attack the forest
To wreak havoc upon environment
You succeeded to cut down trees
A consignment of coal reached me

To destroy the Somali wildlife
You succeeded to kill the birds
A consignment of game reached me
I asked you to export the Somali Ghee
To exchange the valuables with trash
You succeeded to import illegal drugs
A consignment of pure honey reached me
I asked you to dismantle the factories
To ship them off as discarded scraps
You succeeded to destroy your economy
a consignment of machinery reached me
I asked you to sign a contract with me
To exploit your rich marine resources
You succeeded to let me loot your sea
A consignment of quality fish reached me

When the so called leaders of a Nation pass laws that do not benefit the people they serve, it is a crime. You convey this effectively and powerfully in verse.
Abdi-Noor, Some of us see your plight, but those who can do something about it are too interested in what they can harvest to care about lhow the harvest reaches them or who suffers in the process. I will keep you and your country in my prayes, May your God protect you as a rightous human voice in a world of madness.
Abdi Noor it wrenches the heart and soul, to see what you and your country is going through. Because of the fact that there seems little help from anyone, and your voice crying in the wilderness is one of the only ones being heard . I pray in time your voice will be heard by many who can and help will.Hang in and keep the faith ,even though it is so hard to do. Keep writing and keep fighting! God does hear, and we never know when our prayers will be answered!
This is such a tragedy, Abdi-Noor. The people will never be handed Somalia until there is nothing left of her, then when she is completely ravaged and of no use to anyone, she will be given back to her people in a gesture of goodwill. There will be little left to sustain life and this disease-torn nation will be left to fend for itself. Tossed aside like unwanted garbage. I don't know enough about politics to understand why Somalia is not receiving the assistance she needs but I am certain that it is not a healthy or humane reason. Of course, there is no easy solution to the problems that plague Somalia, in that even if another country comes to her aid, in attempting to help in setting up a strong government to care for her people, they will be seen as evil, also, since it is not possible to do this without political intervention. Any payment that is accepted by that interviening country will be seen as stealing from the people of Somalia. I don't know what the solution is, Abdi-Noor, but I do feel the anguish of the fate of your people.
