You hear gunshots in the morning You start your day with some fear You walk along the path of tragedy You meet and greet pain on the road People speak of violence and clashes Children play with bullets and bombs Buses come under fire at check points Passengers get killed and wounded These were the days of the warlords Now they are no more in charge of us The clerics ambushed and chased them The city is quiet and calm these days Does this silence has some depth Or is it superficial and deceptive? We don't know We are on the balance
