Excellent pen, Abdi-Noor, but it is truly sad that the old ways cannot make a place for the new. I think that there can be democracy without losing traditions, England would be a good example. Even though, technically ruled by the Queen and a monarchy, there is a political structure which keeps the country in pace with the world and takes care of the needs of its people. I hope that Africa can find a way to become a cohesive nation where freedom reigns for all. I pray that the New Year will bring new hope and positive change to Somalia and to all of Africa.

what an outstanding write and glimpse into your culture, enjoyed this very much...I'm not sure how I would feel about being chosen by birth for a position, or another person, but I can't say anything bad about one's culture...simply that I don't really understand, but many do not understand our way either. Diversity, keeps things interesting. Again, great glimpse into your culture...
