The first troops of a 1500 strong force from Uganda has arrived today as part of the African Peacekeeping forces aimed at restoring peace and stability in this war-torn nation of Somalia. Anytime intervention is declared deployment of soldiers comes too late. Advance party starts to trickle down when militia has already taken positions. Is Somalia an African terror laboratory to conduct experiments of terrorism?
Somalia is a victim of its geographic location
Nations contest for a control of its water ways
Somalia is a victim of its natural resources
Companies compete for exploitation of oil
Somalia is a victim of its immediate neighbors
They want to re-write its historical legacy
Somalia is a victim of its own people
They want to finish it with ugly tribal wars
Unless collective measures are geared on
We have no hope to have Somalia back to us
Sad that thre seems to be no solution, for the people won't do what is neccessary to achieve it.Keep writing Abdi Noor! Your voice is a strong one, and most needed!

Abdi-Noor, peace can only come when all commit to stop the killing. The story of all of Africa is the same; killing for blood stones, killing for oil, killing for gold, no one, seemingly, wanting peace. God help us all for that; may the soldiers in your country remember humanity and not make the nightmare worse. My heart goes out to you and all Africa; a continent of wonder and beautiful people, and a continent of nightmares and butchers.
