The war in somalia has caused terrible devastation and havoc upon the lives of the people. all social institutions and services have been closed due to the war. OH if only peace comes!
Behind the smoke
A school stands
With a bare soul
It is left empty
Staring in the open
Like a ghost
I its former soul
No child goes in
Only dead bodies
Litter around
The future of a nation
Is dumped in pits of despair
From the cup of sadness
Somalia sips a mouthful of sorrow
Heartbreaking! Men playing games of war do not care for the children. A painful reality in shattering verse: may your cup of sadness soon be brimming over with peace: you are Somalia's best hope for it. Please keep wriring; please keep speaking out against these atrocities.
Let us pray that tomorrow's cup will be only yesterday's memmories and peace will bring hope for the future. Bless You and Yours Always, Paul.

Abdi-Noor, this is terrible. The very people who bring hope for recovery, the nurses, the teachers, the children who should be learning, not hiding for their lives....
