The Western concept of Sex VS Islamic view of Sex. This is not an outcome of a research study. It is entirely based on my shallow observation as a writer. You can challenge me it you want.

Sex in the Western view

Sex belongs to no identity
It has an identity of its own
It can not be related to gender
It is not feminine nor masculine
It is an urge of its own making
A burning desire coming from within
An impulse that bursts into its banks
With some rules, though to regulate it
No fear or taboos associated with it
No soul is a prisoner of its sexual orientation
Freedom of happiness is a constitutional right
So long as one stays away from trouble

But sex in the Islamic context is different
It has to be made within a frame of law
Outside the Sharia premises sex is forbidden
Sex outside marriage is punishable by death
No matter whether the accused is young or old
They just go ahead with their execution plans

In Somalia today a girl was stoned to death
She was accused of cheating around with men
While her killers cheat every minute of the day
They cast the first stone as if they are clean
Between these worlds a poet is torn apart

Islam is not the problem
It is the clerics who misinterpret it
